The Story of the ACAI BOWL: The roots of the
Acai Bowl originate in Brazil
with the Jiu-Jitsu Fighters and Brazilian surfers that consume the bowls for
their natural vitalizing energy. The surfers chased the waves to Hawaii and the bowls quickly caught on with surfers on
the NorthShore, where
it has become routine to eat a bowls after surf sessions, for a natural energy
boost and satisfy hunger.
While living on the islands, CJ & Julia von Imhof discovered Acai Bowls and
got hooked. Mike & Sharlene Wheeler soon fell in love with this
healthy superfood as well and the two couples teamed up to bring Acai bowls and
health to Anchorage
locals. Acai Alaska was born July 2009 with the dream of
bringing this unique nutritional food to Alaskans and sharing a passion for
health.
Acai Alaska is now in the Last Frontier bringing the
bowls to Alaskans, to enjoy the health and vitality of the Amazon across Anchorage and at our
little healthy lifestyle shop on Dimond
Blvd.
Our Acai comes to us
organic frozen, we then blend it with a mix of rich dark colored berries, plus
strawberry and banana for locals to enjoy. In addition, there are no
preservatives, additives, artificial flavors or dairy in our product.
